A Little About Me
Tish Mason-Hale, CPDT-KA Owner/ Trainer
Hello, I'm Tish, and for nearly 15 years, I’ve been committed to fostering positive, joyful, and respectful relationships between dogs and their owners. As a professional dog trainer, I specialize in compassionate, science-based training methods designed to bring out the best in every dog while ensuring the experience is enjoyable for both dog and owner.
Professional Experience
My career includes training Companion, Therapy, and Service Dogs, as well as providing early socialization and foundational training for puppies. I’ve had the privilege of competing at the elite level in Dock Diving with my personal dog, Charlie, and volunteering with my Therapy Dog, Rocket, at local elementary schools and airports.
A lifelong dog enthusiast, I am passionate about expanding my knowledge and skills. My professional certifications include:
-
Leerburg University
-
Rocky Mountain Regional Dog Trainer Academy
-
Certification through CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers)
-
Membership in APDTI (Association for Professional Dog Trainers International)

Building Bonds Through Kindness and Understanding
I believe successful training is rooted in kindness, understanding, and mutual respect. By tapping into a dog’s natural instincts and motivations—whether through food, play, or praise—we can shape behaviors positively and effectively. My goal is to make every training session a fun and rewarding experience, helping you build a strong, confident bond with your dog.
As a benevolent leader, you guide your dog with calmness, consistency, and flexibility. You direct, shape, and redirect behaviors using positive reinforcement, creating a dog who enjoys working with you and thrives in training.
Every interaction is an opportunity to train, and I emphasize the importance of responding—not reacting—to your dog’s natural behaviors. By creating a supportive environment, we can turn training into a joyful journey for both you and your dog.

A Life Devoted to Dogs
I live in Colorado with my husband, Randy, and our beloved dogs: Charlie, Shandy, Rocket, and Diamond. I cherish time with my family, including my four grandchildren, and enjoy training my dogs and educating others about canine development.
I have a special connection to Standard Poodles and extensive experience with breeding and raising puppies. The first 12 weeks of a puppy’s life are especially critical, and I am passionate about setting a strong foundation during this formative period.
Committed to Force-Free Training
As a proud advocate of the force-free training community, I am dedicated to creating safe, secure, and positive learning environments for dogs. My approach is rooted in science-based methods, avoiding the use of harsh tools like shock collars, prong collars, or choke collars.
I look forward to partnering with you to eliminate unwanted behaviors, encourage desired behaviors, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog. Together, we can create a happy, respectful, and fulfilling relationship that lasts a lifetime.
